Position Summary
The Life Skills Interventionist will play a vital role in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. This position requires a deep understanding of child development, child psychology, and restorative practices to support students with challenging behaviors. The Life Skills Interventionist will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop individualized plans that promote student success and well-being.
Job Duties
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and staff.
Strong critical and problem-solving skills to assess student needs and adjust interventions accordingly.
Awareness and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and the ability to adapt interventions to meet the needs of all students.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate documentation.
A collaborative mindset, willing to engage in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives for student success.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting
Associate Degree or 48 credits of post-secondary education
In lieu of an Associate Degree, paraeducators can take the Highly Qualified Paraeducator assessment. This HQP can be earned during employment.
Must be pass Background
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications in behavior analysis, special education, or crisis intervention (e.g. RBT, ABA certification)
Proficient in data collection and analysis related to student behavior
Salary : $24 - $29
