Your Role:
As an After School Pickleball/Tennis Coach, you’ll lead engaging classes for students in grades K-5 at various elementary schools. You’ll be responsible for creating a fun and supportive environment where kids can learn, play, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Class Management:
- Energize and manage classes of 8-16 enthusiastic students aged 5-10.
- Deliver exciting lessons using our provided plans that keep kids engaged.|
- Training & Preparation:
- Participate in a two-day training session to get you up to speed with our program.
- Set up and transport pickleball/tennis equipment to ensure a smooth class experience.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
- Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
- Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
- Capture the Fun:
- Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress!
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 19 years old upon application.
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in teaching or playing pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
- Certification (USPTA/PTR) is preferred but not mandatory.
- A passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation (own car and valid driver’s license).
- Willingness to undergo a background check and be fully vaccinated.
Locations & Schedule:
- Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area.
- Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly.
