Your Role:
As an Elementary Physical Education Teacher, you’ll lead fun and interactive classes for students in grades K-5 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. You’ll be responsible for creating a positive and supportive environment where kids can learn, play, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Class Management:
- Manage classes of 8-16 students (ages 5-10) for after-school programs.
- Deliver exciting lessons using our provided plans that keep kids engaged.
- Training & Preparation:
- Participate in a two-day training session to get you up to speed with our program.
- Set up and transport necessary equipment.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
- Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
- Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
- Capture the Fun:
- Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress!
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in teaching or playing tennis is preferred, but not required.
- A passion for working with children and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and be fully vaccinated.
Locations & Schedule:
- Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area.
- Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly.
