ROLE STATEMENT: The HSE Coordinator will be a member of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department responsible for providing service and support for the company’s HSE Management System at the District to both management and field staff. Reporting to the HSE Supervisor, the HSE Coordinator provides leadership in implementation, development and administration of safety practices, policies and training through various methods.
SALARY: Pending experience Eligibility for 20% STIP (annual bonus) per the company guidelines and $1,000/month living allowance
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
LOCATION: Williston, ND
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide effective communication regarding continuous improvement initiatives
- Able to participate in the development of policies and procedures
- Work well with all business units to ensure a trouble-free operation
- Manage assignments to achieve corporate mandate of “Service First”
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Adheres to and inspires others to adhere to the Corporate Code of Business ethics
- Ensures the highest level of Service Delivery by the division
- Reporting, investigation / analysis, development of corrective action plans for incidents and near misses with supervisors / manager. Reporting of incidents internally
- Conduct regular HSE inspections of facilities and field work sites. Document inspections and assist management in developing corrective action plans. Follow up on completion of action plans
- Conduct regular inspections of safety critical processes (e.g. pre-shift safety meetings, JSA’s, etc.)
- Provide HSE technical support to field crews and management as needed
- Coordinate and manage worker’s comp issues, including reporting of incidents, coordination of modified work program, investigate claims, report and manage all necessary reports
- Manage and support safety meeting processes, both at facility and at field work sites
- Ensure required HSE reporting is completed on time and accurately
- Lead HSE risk assessment initiatives at facility and work sites, including supporting JSA process at field work sites
- Provide general safety training including district and well site-specific orientations
- Inspect general environmental regulatory requirements spill response and hazardous waste management
- Maintain District SDS files for accuracy
- Act as an ARSO, including maintenance of files, administration of leak tests, regular inspection of gauges, management of licenses, ensure compliance to company radiation manual and federal / state radiation requirements
- General OHSA compliance and compliance to internal HSE requirements

- Position requires extensive field travel and will sometimes require long hours in the field in adverse work/climatic environments. Work involves some lifting, extensive walking/climbing and wearing of personal protective equipment including hard hat, steel toed boots, respiratory protective equipment, goggles, etc.
- HSE certification such as CSHO, ASP, OHST, etc. is desired
- Obtain accreditation in HSE related courses (HAZMAT, HAZWOPER, driver trainer, forklift operator trainer, etc.) is desired
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 5 years progressive responsibility oil and gas
- Clean driving record
