Position: National Accounts Manager II – Respiratory Protection
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00
The National Accounts Manager (NAM) plans and implements sales to specific, major accounts (e.g. respirator manufacturers, governmental customers, specialist industrial application accounts) where cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and account management skills are critical. Accounts may have multiple buying, design locations, making establishing and maintaining broad customer relationships essential with key stakeholders. Key stakeholders often include technical (process engineering & R&D), government agencies, procurement, and Senior Management in key organizations. Being a US citizen and having the ability to work with ITAR restricted information is an absolute requirement.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Plans how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets while also facilitating senior level relationship building
- Establishes and builds strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation reinforced by sales support/delivery programs, and communications to other relevant organizational functions/divisions
- Participates with other technical sales representatives, business development and product management to develop sales strategies for national/global accounts and helps identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the ICT business unit strategy
- Actively call on Key Customer base and Prospects, develop and expand significant and beneficial market relationships/networks across broad levels of influence
- Attend relevant exhibitions and conferences, and feedback opportunities and competition information to the ICT team
- Monitors competitive activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated
- Improve CCC’s product position in the market vs. our competition
- Build awareness of related and emerging standards and testing practices related to the respirator market
- Must be fully aware of all Competitive Activity and Market Potential within the assigned territory
- Translate market potential and competitive into sales forecasts and long-term growth strategies
- Keep Executive Director informed of activities, including business threats and opportunities & forecasts, in assigned territory
- Interface with Marketing and Product Management, and the R&D team
- Works to gain a complete understanding of Calgon's value proposition at each account he services
- Utilizes the knowledge gained to position Calgon's products and works to maximize the sales and margin at each account
- Works with the business line to develop sales strategies for national/global accounts and helps identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the innovative carbon technologies business line
- Maintains national respirator accounts and relationships, with responsibility for the achievement of assigned territory’s annual sales and profit plan goals
- Develop and manage target Prospects Funnel from qualification to closing
- Actively participate in the review and response to all RFQ’s or other bid opportunities
- Work with the Executive Director to identify, develop and utilize the most effective sales channels to market
- Deliver product training to customers and prospects
- Maintain relevant and regular records on customer sales call, current account status and significant prospects within assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university is required (engineering degree preferred; would consider equivalent work experience in related field)
- A master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- 7-10 years of selling or technical sales experience is required
- Environmental, filtration, or respirator market experience is preferred
