Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

At Calgon Carbon, a leading innovator in air and water purification, we are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to join our team at the Bloomfield Plant in New Mexico.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a generous company match.

The EHS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, environmental, and transportation regulations. Key duties include:

• Oversight of safety and environmental compliance for the Bloomfield facility, including day-to-day operations, spent carbons, air permits, wastewater discharge, and stormwater requirements.
• Assistance with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by Manager.
• Participation in daily plant meetings, inspection of the plant, and provision of safety and environmental training to employees.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS engineering or a related field.
