What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Cali?
Our host leaves the first and last impression on our guests. We are looking for individuals who are like sunshine in human form. It’s important that we have rad team-members at the entrance of our restaurant to greet our guests with smiles, genuine connections, and good vibes. They are responsible for welcoming guests, seating guests, and creating organic and memorable interactions in a way that is reflects our mission and values.
At Cali, our purpose is to create a menu and vibe that’s both good for the people and the planet. The Deets:
- Must be an ambassador of our mission and core values
- Get to know our menu items from the inside out
- Connect with guests and anticipate their needs
- Able to work in a fast-paced setting for up to 6 hours daily, or as needed
- Able to tolerate potential food allergens
- Comply with proper cash handling procedures (along with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety of the restaurant)
- Perform additional opening/ closing/ mid shift responsibilities, as needed, to keep the restaurant stocked and clean.

Pre-Req’s:
- Passion for food, people and the planet

- Willing to take direction and work both independently and with a team
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds regularly and reach, squat, and bend
- Able to work in a fast-paced setting for up to 6 hours daily, or as needed
- Open-minded, honest & willingness to learn and develop
- Have personal passion for wellness and self-growth
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to tolerate potential food allergens
- Comply with proper cash handling procedures (along with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety of the restaurant)
