Caliber 1 Construction seeks an experienced Contract Administrator to join our dynamic and collaborative team to oversee all aspects of contract administration, ensuring compliance, risk management, and optimal contract performance across our projects. You will manage the full lifecycle of prime contracts and subcontract administration. You will be a key player in ensuring compliance, managing risk, and supporting both clients and internal teams. Job Description:
- Lead and mentor a team of contract administrators, providing guidance on contract interpretation, risk assessment, and best practices
- Develop and implement contract administration policies, procedures, and standardized processes
- Provide integrated administration of construction contracts and subcontracts, including contract and subcontract management, and contract closeout
- Collaborate with Project Managers and our accounting teams to deliver comprehensive contract support
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve subcontractor contracts for the acquisition of professional services
- Maintain accurate and organized contract files, tracking tools, and respond efficiently to audit requests
- Collaborate with project managers, legal counsel, and stakeholders to resolve contract disputes
- Oversee the contract closeout process and maintain comprehensive contract records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, PreLaw, or Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration, with a focus on the acquisition of professional services
- 5 Years of experience in leading a team and department
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare, and issue subcontract agreements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, DocuSign (or related program), and Smartsheet, along with the ability to maintain organized, detailed records
- Solid understanding of various contract types, including Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee, Time-and-Materials, Firm-Fixed-Price (Preferred), etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to solving problems and supporting team goals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
