currently seeking a skilled General Service Technician to join our team.
General Service Technicianwill perform non-technical service repairssuch as oil changes, tire and wheel-related services, alignments, flushes, and
more. While working alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, you will
get the training necessary to get to the next level in your career. If you are

Starting at : $15.00Hr. to $18.00Hr.State Inspector!Benefits : _Closed SundaysCompetitive Bi-Weekly PayTuition ReimbursementPaid Vacation and Sick Time6 Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance (Company paid)401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchDiscounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family VehiclesOpportunity for Advancement!!!Principal Duties and Responsibilities_Performs tire mountingdismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.Performs oil changes and other basic servicesUtilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection andor Repair Order to properly document the vehicle conditionMaintains cleanliness of the shop to include the service area, tire racks, showroom and outside the building to maintain a clean and inviting appearanceRequires driving vehicles in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic lawsIncludes transporting customers, picking up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors andor the corporate office using the company vehicleConducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelinesFollows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisorAbility to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisorAdheres to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee HandbookQualifications_Possesses a general understanding of under the hood, mechanical and under carriage assemblies is preferredValid Driver’s licenseAbility to obtain a State Inspector License is preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredMust be at least 18 years of ageWorking Conditions and Physical Demands_General Service Technicianwill be exposed to moderate to loud noises,dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic
materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in
the work environment varies and could include extreme heat andor extreme cold
depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or
other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.
General Service Technicianmust be able to meet the following physicalrequirements :
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the buildingBend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequentlyLift andor move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift andor move up to 70 pounds frequently.Communicate with customers and shop personnelVision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focusPrevious automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and
hard-working individuals with a passion for cars. Candidates must have a high
level of motivation and be able to work in a fast-paced environment there
is ALWAYS something to do.
