Title: Project Coordinator and/or Assistant Project Manager
Reports to: Project Managers, President
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Supervises: None
Pay Scale: $35.00 - $42.00
SUMMARY: Plan, direct or coordinate activities concerned with the construction of building. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for project administration and daily operations.
- Coordinates with scheduling, superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers to create a construction schedule.
- Develops an organizational and responsibilities matrix at the start of each project and determines the resources needed for the project (e.g., people, tools, equipment, materials, internal and external services).
- When directed, order materials and supplies as needed by client
- Track, schedule and monitor all activities related to multiple, assigned construction projects in support of Project Managers
- Reviews the contract documents with all project participants (e.g., customers, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, government regulators, utilities) to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Prepares and maintains the project schedule, milestone dates, and close-out checklist.
- Assist Project Managers in preparing and issuing project documentation (Plans & Specifications, RFIs, Change Orders)
- Prepare meeting minutes, edit subcontractor proposals, project punch-list, transmittals and memorandums for organizational support
- Review documents for completeness and quality, and expedite final documents at the direction of the Project Managers
- High level of interaction on client and subcontractor levels
- Assist as needed with Certificate of Insurance for all projects
- SAGE entry, pay applications and processing change orders when applicable
- Ensures that all understand performance standards and expectations.
- Perform additional responsibilities, as directed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:
1. Minimum three years related experience
2. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
3. Knowledge of construction and its terminology
4. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
5. Must have strong communication skills, both orally and in written format
6. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
7. Must have the ability to work well with a multiple personality types
8. Must have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
9. Must work well in a team environment
10. Maintain prompt and regular attendance
