Responsibilities :
- Identify and pursue potential leads : Reach out to potential clients within assigned territories to generate new business opportunities.
- Travel to client locations : Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential and existing customers to discuss their transportation needs.
- Present and explain services : Demonstrate the benefits and features of our asset-based trucking services, including direct control over our fleet and equipment.
- Negotiate sales contracts : Work with clients to negotiate and close sales contracts that meet their specific requirements.
- Maintain customer relationships : Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Generate sales reports : Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management, detailing progress and performance.
- Knowledge in asset-based trucking : Understanding of asset-based trucking operations, including fleet management, maintenance, and logistics.
- Proven sales experience : Previous experience in outside sales, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Excellent communication skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present services and negotiate contracts.
- Customer service orientation : Ability to address and resolve customer queries and concerns promptly.
- Organizational skills : Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records of sales and customer information.
- Negotiation skills : Strong negotiation skills to close sales contracts and secure favorable terms for the company.
- Self-motivation : Ability to work independently and drive sales efforts without constant supervision.
