What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dulles - Operations Manager position at Caliber?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- 7 years of Freight Forwarding Experience (all modes) / 5 years within leadership
- G&D vertical experience is a plus
- Cargowise system knowledge is preferred
- Ability to lead a team of 10
- KPI management / P&L management
- Knows major players and contacts within the G&D space.
- Conduct performance evaluation for direct reports.
- Promote, enable, facilitate, and oversee the training of branch personnel, as well as confirming staff is current on training.
- Identify and relay personnel issues to Branch Manager.
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level.
- Customs Brokerage experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
