Calibrate is working on behalf of Yetter Coleman, a premier litigation boutique firm with more than 50 attorneys, headquartered in Houston, TX, to identify an exceptional Director of Talent Management & Training. This is a pivotal leadership role, working directly with the COO to shape and execute the firm’s attorney talent strategy – from attracting and hiring top lateral partners and associates to leading professional development, performance management, and training initiatives. The Director will be instrumental in helping to deliver a world-class attorney practice experience and upholding the firm’s commitment to performance excellence. This position is based in the firm’s Houston office.
Key Responsibilities:
•Recruitment & Hiring – Lead lateral partner and associate hiring in collaboration with firm leadership.
•Performance Management – Administer attorney performance reviews, including evaluations tied to compensation.
•Professional Training & Development – Design and implement attorney training programs.
•Retention & Firm Culture – Develop and implement strategies to enhance attorney engagement, retention, and firm culture in partnership with firm leadership.
•Strategic Planning & Leadership Support – Collaborate with firm leadership to identify, attract, hire and retain attorneys.
•Advisory Role – Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys and firm leadership.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree required.
•8 years in law firm talent management, recruiting, or professional development.
•Experience in Big Law or a high-performing legal environment.
•Strong leadership, judgment, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
