Job Description
Seeking a career-minded, highly-motivated, technical professional to serve as a Entry-Level Calibration Technician to perform onsite and in-house calibrations on a variety of test equipment.
The Calibration Technician will apply knowledge of measurement science, physics and mathematics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the Electrical-DC/Low Frequency, High Voltage, and Time & Frequency and Thermodynamics disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy of customer equipment
Entry Level
We provide a self-paced training program to establish the technician's productive career in Metrology. This training consists of hands-on On-The-Job training to perform calibrations.
Each candidate's training progression is monitored by a supervisor for goals, accomplishments and timely progress. Entry-Level technicians are required to complete prescribed training within a timely manner which is usually 1 year.
Skills and Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Computer and math skills
- Use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Capable of lifting (50 pounds) unassisted
- Candidate must be willing to travel to local and occasional regional on-site locations
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Military service is highly regarded
Responsibilities
- Participate in and complete all assigned training courses
- Perform routine calibrations on test, measurement and diagnostic equipment in our laboratory and at our customer's facilities
- Utilize manufacturer specifications to perform calibrations in accordance with calibration procedures
Physical Demands
- Ability to communicate orally.
- Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential.
- Some lifting is required. Onsite service requires loading and unloading of calibration equipment.
- Some customer locations require long drive times and/or traffic congestion.
- Some occasional overnight jobs may be required.
