Description
The Production Technician will follow protocol to assemble, calibrate, and test final products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assembles and tests various parts used to build gas detectors and other electronics / accessories related to gas detection; relies minimally on supervision for daily direction and execution.
- Ensures efficiency, quality, and productivity by evaluating and following production processes and instructions.
- Coordinates with assembly and production scheduling to organize work order sequence and schedule.
- Tests, troubleshoots, and calibrates products.
- Assists engineers with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and / or procedures.
- Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports, including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
- Has mastery & willingness / ability to train.
- Flexible and cross-trained as required.
- Develops credibility and a reputation for accountability and autonomy so that others trust they will deliver expected results.
- Can also perform essential duties of production assembler, plus other duties as assigned.
