Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with a focus on corporate tax (Forms 1120) and partnership tax (Forms 1065) to join our public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate tax compliance, consulting, and tax research, with the ability to respond to IRS and state notices. This role involves providing strategic tax consulting, making tax adjustments in Engagement software, and handling tax provisions. Salary Range - $70,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities :
Tax Preparation & Review :
- Prepare and review Forms 1120 (corporate tax returns) and Forms 1065 (partnership tax returns) for a diverse range of clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate filings in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Handle complex multi-state tax filings, focusing on SALT (State and Local Tax) issues and nexus compliance.
- Review tax adjustments and ensure proper calculations using Engagement software.
