Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced system programming support for IBM DB2 on ZOS, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability of the mainframe system.
- Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of DB2 subsystems (DB2 V10 or higher).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
- Support disaster recovery and high availability strategies for DB2 systems.
- Work closely with system administrators, application developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of DB2 databases and mainframe systems.
- 10 years of system programming support experience in mainframe environments.
- Experience supporting mainframe systems with IBM software, specifically ZOS V1.13 or higher, DB2 V10 or higher, and CICS.
- Hands-on experience with IBM hardware, including zBC12, DS8870, and TS7720.
- Familiarity with Netezza appliances is a plus.
- Experience with CA, BMC, and Compuware products is a plus.
