What are the responsibilities and job description for the Platform Engineer position at Calibro Corporation?
Seeking a resource who can join an enterprise organization to assist with migrating from EC2 to a deployment of EKS and integrate with Wallarm security appliance.
Currently the Open-Source Kong API Gateway is deployed as a container running on 2 EC2 instances in different AZs in an AWS Account. Each environment (Dev, Test, QE, and Prod) are separate AWS Accounts configured in the same way. This is currently setup with an attached Database hosted in AWS RDS. Seeking a qualified engineer to assist with migrating from EC2 to a deployment in EKS (AWS managed Kubernetes) and to include deploying an integration with Wallarm security appliance. Wallarm will assist with the setup of this component. The implementation of the Kong API gateway does not need to remain database enabled if a declarative setup without the database will support the needs of the DataHub platform team. All deployments will be done with automation tooling; GitLab, Terraform, Helm, Ansible. Documentation created, designs approved, and migration plan documented and executed.
