Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a school environment, ensuring the health and safety of students from grades K-10. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to state guidelines for students.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in emergency situations, utilizing knowledge of emergency medicine protocols.
- Educate students and families on health management and preventive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the school
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with experience in a school setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with medical documentation in a school system and electronic health records.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
