What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead position at California Aseptic Beverages?
A leading beverage manufacturing company in the Inland Empire is seeking a Production Lead with experience in the food or beverage industry.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to provide for general maintenance and cleanness of the facility. Responsible for meeting the goals set forth for the Production Department, maintaining efficiencies, quality, safety, and good manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Organize, direct and assign individuals with daily job duties
- Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe work area to promote safety and maintain quality standards
- Ensure proper documentation on sanitation processes
- Follow-up with department manager/supervisor to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Provides general cleaning
- Ensure employee break room is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
- Understand all Company SOP’s and SSOP’s
- Train new employees
- Notify shift supervisor and/or maintenance concerning any maintenance or mechanical repair needs
- Report all employee work or non-work-related injuries to the Shift Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Human Resources; inform supervisor of any unsafe work conditions as soon as possible
- Be familiar with Food Safety and Food Defense Programs
- Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to operate equipment,
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and/or years of experience:
- High School Diploma is required
- 3 – 5 years of relevant, hands on experience
