Processes entry level accounting duties including examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation and verification of student account finances, other financial records, and performs related work as required. Learns to apply the principles of accounting within an assigned area of accounting or group of funds by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
- Learns to initiate and process journal entries into various accounts.
- Assist with reconciliation of Federal, State, and Private Grants.
- Provides customer service and support to internal departments related to various accounting inquiries.
- Assist with reconciliation of various Athletic accounts in relation with the audit.
- Reconcile Cost of Goods Sold from bookstore.
- Maintain Prepaid Insurance Schedule.
- Monthly and year-end reconciliation for various General Ledger accounts.
- Participates in cross-training activities to assure office work coverage.
- Assists with the preparation of annual and interim audit for all companies.
- Assist in special projects as directed by the Director and/or Associate Director of Accounting.
This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete work assignments

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Accounting or related field; and one to two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
