Introduction: We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our growing team. The Senior IT Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s complex IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. This role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to work independently to address challenges and optimize technology solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience and a passion for solving complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems and network infrastructures, including server architecture, databases, cloud platforms, and network security systems.
• Provide high-level technical support for critical IT issues, escalating and managing incidents to resolution.
• Lead and mentor junior IT engineers, providing guidance and ensuring effective collaboration on IT projects.
• Oversee the implementation of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, proper resource allocation, and alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to assess and implement new technologies to meet organizational requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies for network security, data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Regularly evaluate system performance and capacity, implementing improvements as necessary to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Manage software deployment, system updates, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity and security.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, network configurations, and processes.
• Research and stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, providing recommendations to leadership for future upgrades or investments.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to manage hardware/software procurement and resolve complex technical issues.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in IT engineering, system administration, or network engineering with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of server management, virtualization, cloud computing, and network infrastructure.
• Experience with system monitoring tools, network security protocols, and firewalls.
• Expertise in Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, as well as server technologies (SQL, Exchange, Active Directory).
• Familiarity with enterprise-level cloud solutions (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and DevOps practices.
• Advanced understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex IT issues.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and data protection policies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar advanced certifications.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• ITIL certification or experience in IT Service Management frameworks.
• Proven leadership experience in mentoring and guiding IT teams.
