About Us:
At California Builder Services (CBS), we're not just another consulting firm. We’re a dynamic team of professionals helping shape California’s future communities by assisting land developers and home builders in obtaining approvals from the California Department of Real Estate (DRE). Whether it’s guiding projects from concept to completion or helping customers get their subdivisions on the map, we take pride in the critical role we play in California’s real estate landscape.
We believe in promoting from within – that means every single one of our team members, including YOU, has the potential to move up. If you're ready to kick-start a career where learning, growth, and teamwork matter, read on!
About the Role:
As an Assistant Project Coordinator at CBS, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, working with developers, government agencies, and other stakeholders. You’ll gain hands-on experience in all things land development, from researching properties to managing project deadlines.
In this Full-Time, In-Office position, your days will be full of variety and excitement:
- 30% Research & Analysis: Dive into property records and legal documentation, review building and development plans, and help ensure everything is ready to go for approvals.
- 30% Organization & Documentation: Keep track of multiple projects at once. You’ll organize documents, maintain project logs, and ensure every file is where it needs to be, both physically and digitally.
- 20% Collaboration: Work with land developers, municipalities, and other organizations to gather the information needed to move projects forward.
- 20% Supporting the Team: We’re all about collaboration. You’ll provide support to other staff members, helping them meet deadlines and stay on top of their projects.
Why CBS?
- Growing Company, Growing You: We’re a small, thriving business in a high-growth phase. That means you’ll get the opportunity to grow with us and advance quickly.
- Learning & Development: We invest in our people. Everyone starts in this role, and we encourage you to learn as much as possible to take on more responsibility.
- Amazing Team: You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive group of professionals who are proud to be experts in their field.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy paid holidays, vacations, and sick time because we believe work should support your life, not take over it.
- Competitive Salary: Earn between $50,000 to $72,000 depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities and a full benefits package.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- Education: High School diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or construction management is preferred.
- Experience: You’ve got at least 2 years of experience in a professional office setting, and if you’ve worked with real estate, construction, or land development before, we’d love to hear about it.
- Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word) is a must. You’ll also need to be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task with ease.
- Problem-Solver: You don’t shy away from challenges, and you love finding solutions that keep projects moving forward.
