Job Description and Duties
Under the direct supervision of the District Director, the Conservationist Supervisor is responsible for supervising conservation staff and Corpsmembers assigned to the Magalia Center. Develops, monitors, and manages public service conservation work and special program activities. Works with the budget staff to balance expenditures with income, provides monthly reports, and bills fires.
Monitors and oversees Corpsmember discipline, evaluations, separations, COMET, Corpsmember development, safety program, and facility maintenance and inspections. Ensures all Conservationist staff effectively and safely perform their responsibilities and duties through appropriate training and instruction.
Working Conditions
The position is classified as "In Office" and is not eligible for telework. Typically, in a climate-controlled office. Will occasionally go on projects to meet with crews and sponsors. Mild winters and dry hot summers.
