What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Staff for Young Adults position at California Conservation Corps?
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Staff to join our team. The Residential Staff will provide high quality support to our Corpsmembers in our residential setting focusing on their daily needs and insuring their overall well-being.
SCHEDULE:
This position is for part time, 20 hours per week. Shift schedule will be 7pm to midnight (12am), Monday-Thursday, with flexibility to assist with coverage on other shifts periodically.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide assistance with transporting Corpsmembers safely.
Monitor Corpsmembers health and provide basic First Aid when necessary.
Manage behavior and implement strategies for behavior management.
Maintain a save and clean environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Foster a positive and supportive environment, promoting Corpsmembers rights and dignity.
Collaborate with other Staff to ensure continuity of care.
Drive Corpsmembers to appointments and outings when necessary.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of computer programs.
Leadership roles and collaborations.
Adapting in changing environments.
Mentor, counseling or any role where you have given guidance, advise or support to young adults.
Work in diverse settings with diverse population while creating a welcoming environment where all Corpsmembers are valued and included.
Maintaining accurate records, documents and reports.
Contribute to a supportive and structured environment that promotes stability and growth for young adults.
SKILLS:
Possess a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Knowledge of basic first aid and life support techniques.
Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor in challenging situations.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Ability to understand the emotions and experiences of young adults while providing support.
Ability to make sound decisions quickly during an emergency or high-pressure situation.
Encourage young adults to set personal goals, provide guidance and support along the way.
Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of Corpsmembers information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
