Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our [First or Second] Shift to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have at least six (6) years of experience in food production maintenance, a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, and a keen attention to detail. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Daily Tasks
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
- Follow preventative maintenance schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
- Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
- Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles.
- Test functionality of facility safety systems.
- Fabricate new equipment as necessary.
- 6 years of maintenance experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
- Experience with HMI, boilers, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, including experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and automation systems. Experience in Deacom a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with welding.
- PPE: Steel-toed slip resistant leather boots and lift belt required.
- Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours.
- Bending/Flexing/Extending
- Frequently grip, reach, lift, or pull with both hands.
- Ability to lift 45lbs consistently.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Detail oriented and follow instruction without fail.
- Experience with welding.
