Job Summary
The job of Building & Grounds Worker is done for the purpose/s of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure. Benefits: • Health & Welfare Package: A variety of medical, dental, and vision plans are available for employees working 20 hours or more per week. The District provides up to $8,000 per year to go towards the cost of insurance. • Employee Assistance Program: A program that provides confidential support for employees and is 100% covered by the District. • Retirement: CalPERS pension for employees working 20 hours or more per week; additional retirement plans (403b and 457) are available to interested employees. • Vacation Leave: 10 paid vacation days per year • Sick Leave: 12 paid sick days per year • Holidays: 17 paid holidays per year • Longevity: Incentive provided to personnel with continuous service in the Castro Valley Unified School District starting at five (5) years.
