Requirements / QualificationsJob SummaryJob SummaryBasic Function / Definition This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or divisions will refer to the pool of applicants on file to fill temporary assignments as needed. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department or division be interested in scheduling an interview. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of nursing experience [RN, LVN]. AND One (1) year verifiable experience as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting. AND Completion of a course in teaching adults (attach certificate of completion) OR One (1) year of verifiable experience in teaching adults OR One (1) year of verifiable experience supervising certified nurse assistants. OR A valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the appropriate subject matter AND Demonstrate a sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Responsibilities Assignment may include teaching courses as assigned during day or evening, weekday or weekends or online. Have a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in the fields of teaching.
