BASIC FUNCTION: Under general direction, as a working lead mechanic, to supervise the repair of school buses and other mechanical work that is assigned to the transportation shop. Perform skilled journeyman level mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of mechanized equipment; and do related work consistent with the job description. REQUIREMENTS: Completion of 12th grade. Five years of experience in the field or repair of mechanized equipment, or any combination of education, experience and training which meets or exceeds the standards of knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
