OPENING DETAILS - Site - Horace Mann SEED - Monday-Friday, 3 hours per day (.375 FTE) - Work hours: 8:15 am-11:15 am SALARY RANGE: 41 Under the direction of an assigned supervisor assist a certificated teacher and/or specialist in providing specialized health care and instruction to individuals or small groups of students; assist assigned teacher(s) and certificated personnel with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP's); monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; administer health care and record related information; perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned. Health care services shall supersede instructional responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or high school equivalency and one year experience working with school age children in an organized setting. Paid or unpaid experience working with handicapped individuals is desirable. *PLEASE INCLUDE EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THIS POSITION ON YOUR APPLICATION OR RESUME, IT IS REQUIRED FOR SCREENING PURPOSES. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within six months of employment and keep certification up-to-date. Must obtain de-escalation techniques training and keep certification up-to-date. Successful completion of the District-mandated proficiency examination.
