Eligible applicants must have completed one of the following: * Associates Degree; OR * 48 College Units; OR * High School Diploma and Passage of the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test. BOUSD offers the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test to applicants for FREE! Testing is scheduled weekly.
Please provide a complete and updated application including past work history and contact information for professional references, resume and proof of NCLB (ESSA) Compliance. If available, a letter of introduction and professional letters of recommendation are recommended.
3.5 - 6.5 hour/day positions available Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at a rate of one day per month. California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee." Article VI, 6.3.2 states: "When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees." Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the posted qualifications.
