This position requires a High School diploma or GED and requires the employee to meet the Paraeducator criteria of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which is either 48 qualifying units of study at an institution of higher education, or passing a qualifying assessment test. The Washington Unified School District offers the assessment test. It is recommended to pick up a study packet prior to arranging an appointment time to take the test. Please contact the Washington Unified School District Human Resources office at (916) 375-7604 ext. 1045. Please list the full name, phone number and email address to 3 professional/personal references on the application. One must be a recent supervisor. * Live Scan will be required and paid for by applicant. * TB Clearance will be required and paid for by applicant. * A district paid pre-placement physical is also required and paid for by employer.
