Job Description And Duties
Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II and in colaberation with the Information Technology Specialist II team leader in the DIR IT Operations Unit, the Information Technology (IT) Specialist I provides support for the ServiceNow IT Asset Management System. The ITSI is a senior level staff member that will report ITAM aspects to the ITAM ITSII. This role involves working directly with technical groups, process owners, management, and vendors. Resource should handle the analysis, design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Asset management and distribution.
This position will occasionally require flexible work hours (weekends, holidays and evening work) outside or normal working hours with short notice to accommodate project deployment needs. Think creatively and logically to resolve hardware/software issues. Be able to maintain a professional attitude when providing IT services with attention to detail and effective organizational skills. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions
This position is located at:

Typical office environment and/or teleworking. Requires travel to remote offices in Northern, Central and Southern California and occasional travel to DIR Headquarters in Oakland and to the State's Data Center in Sacramento for high level projects. Currently, DIR is in a hybrid work schedule, 2 days required to work onsite. Being in a stationary position for long periods of time.

- Describe your experience using the ServiceNow Platform. Give details on the different types of tickets and requests you are familiar with and highlight any special features that allow you to easily locate and manage open requests.
- Describe your experience with IT Asset Management including receiving, deploying, tracking and retirement of IT equipment. Give details of reports and tools you have used in ServiceNow or other IT Asset Management systems you are familiar with that support the asset management lifecycle.
