In recruiting for team members, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring to us and the work we do.The Office of Policy and Planning (OPP) promotes public health policy priorities and supports CDPH capabilities for community health improvement, informed policy development, research and analysis, integrated planning, decision intelligence, lean transformation, and grants management. The OPP leads comprehensive assessment, long term strategic and health improvement planning to address current and emerging cross-cutting public health and equity priorities, conducts policy analysis, monitoring and impact evaluation, cultivates partnerships with health systems, academic partners and other sectors, facilitates accountability for effective and efficient public health infrastructure funding, supports organizational capacity building to foster a culture that encourages learning continuous improvement, and empowerment of CDPH staff.About the Role : The California Department of Public Health is seeking two dynamic psychologists to lead trauma-informed training, professional development, and critical incident response programs. This is your opportunity to impact state and community health by advancing a trauma-responsive culture that supports CDPH employees and the communities they serve.This role involves developing and delivering evidence-based trauma-informed training programs, conducting needs assessments, and building internal capacity through a "train-the-trainer" model. Additionally, it includes planning and managing CDPH’s Critical Incident Response Program to support staff impacted by trauma, while promoting resilience and stress management. The position also requires collaboration with stakeholders to foster a trauma-responsive culture and advance CDPH’s mission as a healing and impactful organization.This is a benefitted, temporary, nine (9) month, full-time position. The selected candidate will work a hybrid, onsite-travel and telework schedule and be headquartered in one of the following cities nearest to the candidate’s residence : Sacramento, Richmond, San Bernardino, Ontario, San Diego, Santa Ana, Orange, Brea, Long Beach, Glendale, Los Angeles, Van Nuys, or Oxnard.The ideal Candidate will have : Possession of, or be in process of possessing, a valid license as a psychologist by the California Board of PsychologyA doctorate degree in psychologyKnowledge and expertise in trauma-responsive engagement and communicationThree years of experience in the practice of psychology involving training, research, consultation, or program planning in mental health servicesExperience in developing, designing and delivering professional development and training programs for diverse audiencesAbility to use evidence-based practices and apply engaging and interactive training, facilitating, supporting and coaching techniquesExperience providing consultation to individuals impacted by chronic or acute critical incidents or traumatic eventsThe deadline to apply is February 20, 2025.Link to Apply : https : / / bit.ly / 4jL9JY7Please reach out to Apply@cdph.ca.gov with any questions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
