Clinical Social Worker
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Social Worker to help maintain the safety and well-being of our patients while delivering high-quality clinical social work services in various health and correctional facilities.
Position Summary:
This role involves conducting assessments, developing and monitoring treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, coordinating discharge planning, and acting as a resource for community support services. The Clinical Social Worker will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility by inspecting for security breaches, observing behavior, and intervening when necessary to prevent injuries or escape attempts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and collaborate on diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Perform suicide and crisis risk assessments and interventions.
- Participate in risk assessments and recommendations for alternate care placements or community release.
- Coordinate discharge planning and connect clients with appropriate community resources.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide court testimony as required.
- Engage in professional development through participation in meetings, committees, training, and research.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of social work approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of clinical social work principles, especially related to mental, developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and collaborate with community and family agencies.
- Strong communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
Special Requirements:
- Must have the physical and emotional stamina to handle stressful situations.
- May be responsible for the control of patients or inmates and protection of property.
- Must pass a drug-screening test as part of the employment process.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying levels of patient acuity. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, during day hours.
The salary for this position is $6,934.00 - $9,773.00 per month, depending on experience.
