Job Description And Duties
Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-time Physical Therapist II for the Medical Services Department. The Physical Therapist II must hold a current Physical Therapy license in the State of California.
The Physical Therapist II plans, coordinates and provides Physical Therapy treatment at Patton State Hospital in conjunction with a Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist and/or Wellness Recovery Team Leader. The Physical Therapist II may supervise the Physical Therapy Program and provides Physical Therapy Services at Patton State Hospital, in accordance with professional -licensure -laws for the State of California and the American Physical Therapy Association's published "Standards of Practice for Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist Il coordinates physical therapy activities with other instructional programs. The Physical Therapist Il must hold a current Physical Therapy license in the State of California.
The Physical Therapist II class is a supervisory level. The Physical Therapist II may supervise the activities of the Physical Therapist l, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Occupational Therapist in the Medical Services, Physical Therapy area. The Physical Therapist II may train Physical Therapy students with regards to assigning and evaluating work and take or recommend appropriate action with respect to their work performance.
The successful applicant will possess tact, the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, the ability to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
All applicants may be pre-screened for breadth and depth of experience. Only the most qualified applicants may be interviewed based on screening criteria. For this reason, it is especially important that applicants take special care in thoroughly and accurately completing the application. A computer and knowledge exercise may be given to candidates as part of the selection process.
