Position is located in the Irvine office, which will reopen in Santa Ana this year.
The Field Operations Division (FOD) is seeking a motivated leader to join the Irvine office as the Administrator. The Administrator plans organize and oversees the sales and use tax program in the Irvine Office by working with and through first and second level supervisors.
Under the general guidance of the Deputy Director of FOD, the Administrator fosters cooperation and integrates functions between audit and compliance team members. The Administrator is responsible for various audit, compliance, and administrative functions in the office, including auditing, receptions, interviewing, registration of taxpayers, cashiering, account maintenance, advisory services, collection of unpaid taxes, and other administrative activities relative to enforcing applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
The Administrator must have the ability to organize for success; understand how to facilitate functional needs to achieve strategic goals; be able to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions; cooperate, lead, motivate the team to achieve CDTFA's mission and FOD's goals; identify, define, and facilitate the resolution of the needs of CDFTA, FOD and the Irvine office.
The position requires travel up to fifteen percent (15%), which ay include overnight.
