Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of property management, including compliance with Fair Housing regulations. This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with tenants, vendors, and staff while ensuring the properties are well-maintained and profitable.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local laws governing property management.
- Utilize OneSite software for managing tenant applications, lease agreements, and payment processing.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance requests through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure timely resolutions.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing legal documents, maintaining tenant files, and managing office correspondence.
- Collaborate with sales teams to enhance property visibility and occupancy rates.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and property management best practices.
- Proficiency in OneSite or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong administrative skills, including legal administrative knowledge related to property law.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective tenant relations.
- A background in office administration or sales is a plus.
