Job Purpose: The behavioral health technician position is responsible for direct client care and reporting back to the Operations Director any relevant information.
A. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows and enforces the company's policies, procedures and protocols
- Completes client intakes in EMR upon admission.
- Types and performs data entry as needed for communication purposes
- Organizes and uploads documents to client files (if applicable)
- Conforms to all necessary quality assurance standards
- Greets scheduled visitors and coordinates to appropriate area or person
- Follows up with facility rules and expectations, and helps clients comply with contracts
- Drug tests clients effectively according to waived testing procedures
- Conducts rounds per company policy
- Organizes cleaning supplies and materials
- Makes copies of printed materials
- Conduct med pass with clients
- "Observes and Reports" for overall client care
- Performs all necessary documentation regarding clients
- Communicates effectively with supervisor regarding completion of job duties and responsibilities
B. Expectations

D. Minimum Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Licensure
- Is certified as a drug and alcohol counselor or registered as a recovery worker, or in school for the same
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent
- Is CPR and First Aid certified
Knowledge
- An understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for alcoholism and drug addiction related problems
- A knowledge of regulations concerning alcoholism and drug addiction treatment
- Working knowledge of alcoholism and drug addiction and treatment procedures for such illness

F. Health Requirements
- TB test within 1 year prior to or 7 days after employment and annually thereafter
