Glass Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for cutting, installing, and replacing glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other glass structures for both residential and commercial projects. You will also provide glass repairs and ensure that all installations meet safety standards and are completed with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, storefronts, mirrors, and other glass-related installations.
• Install and secure glass panels using tools like suction cups, glazing tools, and adhesives.
• Remove broken or damaged glass and replace it with new glass materials.
• Use safety equipment to prevent injuries and ensure all installations meet building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for the best glass solutions.
• Collaborate with construction teams and contractors on larger projects.
• Ensure all glass installations are completed within scheduled timelines and to the highest quality standards.
• Provide on-site assessments for potential glass repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor glass-related issues on site.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and glazing materials.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to measure and cut glass accurately.
• Good physical condition, as the job may involve lifting heavy glass panels and working in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to glass handling and installation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or apprenticeship in glazing or a related field.
• Experience with specialty glass installations, such as mirrors, glass shower doors, or curtain walls.
