Working in a fast-paced environment on leading edge technology platforms and systems in a team environment alongside other IT professionals. Responsibilities will include participation in the analysis of user needs, systems analysis, functional and design, documentation, testing, installation activities, evaluation, user support, and training. The incumbent is responsible for the support and maintenance of the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) imaging, application and update deployment. The incumbent will provide support to end users on desktops, laptops, smart mobile devices. Extensive troubleshooting skills of Windows clients operating in an Active Directory environment and be comfortable supporting a range of hardware and software products which include Microsoft products, Lotus Notes, TeamViewer, and Manage Engine Service Desk Plus.

- An emergency hire appointment can work up to 189 days in 12 consecutive months, based on the needs of the disaster.
- Positions are paid on an hourly basis, once a month, during the first week of the month following the closure of the pay period. An emergency hire appointment is not eligible for medical benefits or a retirement program.
- Emergency hire appointments earn state service and sick leave and vacation based upon actual time worked.
- Civil Service Examinations are not required for appointment.

JFO –Pasadena - This position is Headquartered and reports to the Joint Field office located in Pasadena, CA
Must be willing to be deployed for possibly weeks at a time, work out of small spaces and possibly tented areas.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is an emergency response, homeland security, and disaster recovery agency and as a result, is a dynamic and exciting place to work in a team-oriented environment. Cal OES provides training to enhance the understanding of emergency and incident management to all employees.
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
