What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at California Home Care?
California Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to become part of our Madera team. We have available Morning, Day weekend shifts, starting immediately. Caregivers are expected to assist with daily living activities including light housekeeping, bathing, meal planning and preparation, dressing, transfers/ambulation, personal hygiene and grooming, shopping, toileting, and providing companionship to our clients in a professional and dignified manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists clients with personal care and hygiene
- Monitor and report any changes in client health status
- Ensure highest client safety and well-being
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping duties
- Plan and prepare meals
- Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding the client’s medical and emotional condition
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a caregiver is a must
- CNA preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary restrictions
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethics
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
