Hourly rate is $16-20 depending on experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Secretary is a skilled secretarial person, whose job is to support the work of the Administrative Staff and who is generally responsible for accomplishing all company clerical and office related procedures, including, but not limited to reception, interception, sorting and distribution of messages and communications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Three years of work experience preferred.
- Good typing and computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Good telephone skills. Able to handle multiple tasks and is orderly and detail oriented. Good and punctual attendance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates communication between clients and company personnel.
- Answers, intercepts, receives, sorts and handles incoming phone calls, emails, texts, faxes or other transmitted communications and records messages and distributes promptly to appropriate staff.
- Takes and keeps daily schedule as instructed.
- Orders needed office supplies and other items as requested.
- Communicates with staff and outside agencies as directed.
- Generates routine correspondence as directed.
- Sorts and processes all mail as requested.
- Assists Human Resources Department, Billing and Office Department, as requested and as needed.
- Maintains various logs in accordance with developed systems and performs accurate data entry.
- Generates or assists in generating daily reports.
- Attends and participates in company meetings as may be requested.
- Reports to work on time and is punctual.
- Completes all documentation in an accurate and legible manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of records and is cognizant of client, patient and employee privacy rights.
- Complies with hospice policies and procedures, laws and regulations and standards of practice.
- Other tasks, duties, projects and responsibilities as may be assigned.
