ASSOCIATE HYDRONIC TECHNICIAN
*This position requires in office/shop attendance.
Salary range: $37 - $43/ hour
JOB SUMMARY
The Hydronic Technician assembles and tests Pressure Booster Systems and Custom Packages and maintains the Flowtherm Fabrication area and related equipment at CHC. Occasional field service work is required, coordinating with a technician or salesperson to contact customers and complete assigned tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all tasks in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable codes.
- Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, flow diagrams, and bills of material to build and align equipment to industry standards and specified tolerances.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including power tools, welders, cutters, grinders, forklifts, cranes, and other tools to assemble and repair HVAC systems and related components.
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts or subassemblies according to layout specifications using jigs, torches, and hand tools.
- Use the CHC ERP system to download project documents and support project setup.
- Complete assignments efficiently with minimal interruption and within required timelines.
- Record job details including labor hours, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Administrator to maintain fabrication inventory standards, assist with cycle counts, and support year-end inventory.
- Develop familiarity with parts and equipment to assist in project preparation and setup.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, vendors, suppliers, coworkers, and the public.
- Travel to job sites as needed, operating a company vehicle.
- Work overtime as required to meet project deadlines and customer needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 Years of experience as a Pipe Fitter/Welder or plumbing/construction
- Drivers license (DMV)
- Basic Electrical, Construction or Plumbing
- Detail-oriented
- Time Management
Preferred:
- Pipe fitting/plumbing
- Knowledge of Controls
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
