PURCHASING MANAGER
Salary: $101,370 to $121,292 annually
JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Manager oversees procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials, supplies, and services to support CHC. This role develops strategies, manages vendors, negotiates contracts, and optimizes inventory for efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team
- Hire, manage, and develop purchasing staff as needed.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations.
- Oversee daily department workflow and schedules.
- Handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Develop and enforce purchasing policies in collaboration with the VP of Operations.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage inventory value based on leadership direction.
- Perform weekly inventory evaluations to adjust min/max levels.
- Attend monthly inventory meetings with the Director of Sales.
- Work closely with the receiving department to confirm proper deliveries.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare inventory reports for Board of Directors meetings.
- Maintain purchasing and recordkeeping systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, corporate ethics, and purchasing policies.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Sell to FHRA and update the B&G500 weekly.
- Perform stock checks with vendors and FHRA partners as needed.
- Coordinate the removal or disposal of surplus materials.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Experience with Salesforce, or similar ERP.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and customer service skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in related field required.
- At least three years of experience in related field required
