We have an immediate opening for a Fireplace Service Technician for residential construction. The primary responsibility is to start up and service gas and electric fireplaces. The Fireplace Service Technician will have direct contact and communication with homeowners, superintendents, and consultants, negotiating on behalf of the company and resolving conflict in the field.
The successful Fireplace Service Technician must demonstrate good independent judgment, know how to prioritize projects based on schedules and deadlines, and be able to make decisions on behalf of the company. The Fireplace Service Technician must possess a high level of understanding of issues that often arise in construction and the ability to prevent issues in the future.
If you are highly organized, methodical, pay attention to detail, great follow up and follow through on outlined processes, can work in a fast paced and ever changing environment, good computer skills, professional, articulate, good judgment and common sense.... Responsibilities:
• Use diagnostic tools to diagnose and repairs fireplace components to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer’s specifications (including and not limited to ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure).
• Initiate fireplace startups and perform homeowner orientations.
• Learn all product lines in order to sell after-market service parts, products and accessories to consumers.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to insure services are completed and meet quality standards.
• Follow all company Safety standards and procedures.
• Become part of an organization with a rich history and organizational stability.
Required Skills:
• Minimum 2 years experience in construction industry
• Demonstrate good judgement
• Extremely detailed
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
