What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Human Resources - Classified (Greater Sacramento Area) position at California Montessori Project?
CMP is looking for a Director of Human resources to over see the H.R. / Payroll team. This position is responsible for the employment process of classified, certificated, and substitute employees. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and continuously improving workflows, communications, and overall employment related legal compliance. The HR Director oversees the hiring process, payroll, credentialing, benefits, Workers' Compensation, risk management, and unemployment claims in addition to the maintenance and audit of all personnel records.
We're looking for someone who exercises initiative, good judgement, accuracy, and who works independently. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, and confidentiality is required with regard to personnel, payroll, financial matters, and student information.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A growth mindset
An ability to successfully manage change
5 years in a H.R./payroll management role
SHRM certification
Strong understanding of public charter school operations and regulations
Proven track record of successful H.R. management
Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
