What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Payroll Clerk (Greater Sacramento Area) position at California Montessori Project?
CMP has a temporary opportunity for a Payroll Clerk to join our team! This full-time position is the first point of contact for payroll inquiries and is responsible for payroll related documentation for local, state, federal, and other government agencies. Job duties include responding to basic payroll inquiries from staff, appropriate filtering of more complex inquiries, basic collection, calculation, and entering of data, timekeeping, and generating and confirming staff paychecks.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by one (1) year of college level course work in accounting or related field is preferred,
• Two (2) years clerical experience, preferably including work with payroll, or similar function
• Experience in a school/educational setting preferred
Salary : $19 - $25
