What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Resilience Director (Bilingual) position at California Parenting Institute?
The Bilingual Community Resilience Director will lead the development of CPI's future Community Resilience Center. This position requires a minimum two-year commitment to oversee a CA Strategic Growth Council development grant. Highly qualified applicants will have experience in project management, energy infrastructure upgrades, disaster preparedness or disaster relief work, climate change related community organizing, or similar fields. The Community Resilience Director is a member of CPI's executive team and supervises a full-time program manager and a part-time program coordinator.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Experience in project management, knowledge of green energy infrastructure preferred.
- Experience with climate change related disaster preparedness and community organizing.
- Critical, creative, and analytical thinker for development of the CRC program.
- Ability to address physical and psychological impacts of climate change on families/communities to stakeholders into language stakeholders can understand.
- Experience researching new ideas for mitigating impacts on the most vulnerable children and families in regards to both climate change and emergency activation.
- Communications: express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing. Practice effective listening skills.
- Strong time management skills and organization skills. Ability to work productively within various teams.
- Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations, utilizing cultural humility and strength-based strategies.
- Understanding of human service work and commitment to actively promoting a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for implementing the work plan for CRC grant.
- Creates teamwork among program staff, support staff and the administrative and management teams in order to best carry out and meet the goals of the project and agency.
- Attends relevant community meetings and performs outreach to build and maintain relationships with partner organizations.
- Provides oversight of all capital improvement projects from planning to implementation.
- Leads CRC community engagement committee.
- Develops CRC toolkit for CPI website and be available to consult with others doing similar projects.
- Oversees data collection and prepares detailed reports on program outcomes.
- Works with grant writers to help develop sustaining funding for resilience hub programs and work.
- Works with CRC evaluators, both in developing evaluation measures and then tracking and sharing data.
- Participates in monthly CPI leadership team meetings.
- Oversees Emergency Financial Assistance distribution in times of declared disaster "activation."

- Ability to lift 25 lbs (supplies)
- Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone.
