Position Overview
The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo is inviting applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to :
- Teach undergraduate and master's level courses.
- Support and expand curricular development in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
- Pursue research in their area of expertise.
- Provide service to the department, university, and community.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Anticipated hiring range : $110,250 – $123,500 per year.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Candidates nearing completion (ABD) will be considered but must provide proof of degree completion prior to appointment.
